Earthquakes, Tsunamis, Volcanoes and Glaciers Course:
The History of Vancouver Island and the West Coast


This one day course/field trip is for individuals:

a) interested in earthquakes, volcanoes, glaciers or tsunamis.

b) interested in the natural and cultural history and development of Vancouver Island and the West Coast.

The tour is centered in and around Victoria, British Columbia. Participants will see some of the world class sightseeing in the area as well as learn how Vancouver Island and area was created and molded. From secluded sand beaches to Victorian era attractions, the natural and human history of the area will be explored. By days end, participants will be versed in the cultural history of the area and have gained an understanding of the natural phenomena that continue to affect the area. Tours depart from downtown Victoria at 9:00 am and return at 6:00 pm. This course is one of our Victoria, B.C. based Pacific Breeze Tours courses.
